These terms apply to everyone who visits or uses Made Us Look, including our website, quizzes, downloads and emails (together, "Made Us Look" or "the site"). "We", "us" and "our" mean the people and company that run Made Us Look. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What Made Us Look is

Made Us Look is a free online magazine with stories, quizzes and printable cheat sheets about home, health, sleep, food and travel. Everything on the site is for general information and entertainment only.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing on Made Us Look is medical, health, safety, financial, legal or other professional advice. Our stories explain things in general terms and can't take your personal situation into account. Always talk to a doctor or another qualified professional before you make decisions about your health, and follow the instructions that come with any product you use. You use the information on the site at your own risk.

3. Quizzes and cheat sheets

Quizzes and cheat sheets are for fun and general interest. We base them on sources we consider reliable at the time of writing, but facts change and mistakes happen. The "% of readers got this right" figures are rough counts and may include starting numbers. Cheat sheets are for your own personal use.

4. Our content

Everything on the site, including text, photos, graphics, logos, quizzes, cheat sheets and the site's design, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may read, print and share links to our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell, modify or distribute our content, use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, or collect it automatically (for example with scrapers or bots) without our written permission.

5. Using the site fairly

When you use Made Us Look, you agree not to:

  • break the law or anyone else's rights
  • try to hack, overload, disrupt or get unauthorized access to the site or its systems
  • copy or scrape the site, or use bots or automated tools to answer quizzes or inflate counts
  • pretend to be someone else or to be connected with us when you aren't
  • use the site to send spam or harmful material

We may block or limit anyone's access to the site, at any time and for any reason, without notice.

6. Things you send us

If you send us comments, ideas, story suggestions, photos or other material, you give us permission to use, copy, edit, publish and adapt it, for free and forever, in any format, without paying you or naming you. Please don't send us anything you don't want us to use, or anything confidential.

7. Partner stories and links

Some stories are paid for by partners and are labeled as such. They may be illustrative, and your results may differ. We may earn money from links on the site. Products are sold by their sellers under their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them or for other websites.

8. Our emails

If you sign up for our emails, we'll send you stories, quizzes and offers, including messages about our partners' products. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

9. Changes to the site

We may change, pause or remove any part of the site, including stories, quizzes, downloads and emails, at any time and without notice. We don't promise that the site will always be available, up to date, accurate or free of errors.

10. No warranties

The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be safe, secure or free of viruses.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or opportunities, that arise from your use of the site, our content or anything you buy from a seller we link to, even if we were told such damages were possible. In any case, our total liability to you for all claims related to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100).

Some places don't allow certain limits on liability. In those places, these limits apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Your responsibility to us

If your use of the site, your breach of these terms or anything you send us leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our resulting losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees.

13. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or the site, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring a claim somewhere else.

To the fullest extent the law allows, any claim must be brought individually, not as part of a class action or any other group or representative proceeding, and must be started within one year after it arose. Before starting any claim, please email us at hello@madeuslook.com so we can try to sort it out together.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time by posting a new version on this page with a new date at the top. The new terms apply from that date. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.

15. Other legal points

These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company, for example if Made Us Look is reorganized, sold or moved to a new company. You may not transfer yours.
